Tenure-Track Faculty Position, Inorganic/Materials Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at Wake Forest University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Inorganic and/or Materials Chemistry to begin Aug. 2018. While the focus is on applicants at the Assistant Professorship level, outstanding senior candidates will be considered. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Materials Science. Candidates are expected to develop a vigorous, internationally visible, and well-funded research program and to effectively teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. We are a Ph.D. granting department whose mission is to lead in undergraduate and graduate education and research ventures. Wake Forest University offers a stimulating environment that supports cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, including a newly renovated 55,000 square foot chemistry building, excellent shared instrumentation facilities, and close interactions with the Department of Physics, the WFU Center for Energy, Environment and Sustainability, the WFU Center for Nanotechnology and Molecular Materials, and the WFU Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
