A postdoctoral position is available in NREL's Chemistry and Nanoscience Center to develop perovskite nanocrystal solar cells and related devices. Primary duties involve the development of state of the art low dimensionality perovskite materials and solar cells. The work will involve using colloidal synthesis growth capabilities to understand and improve perovskite materials and devices; studies of the perovskite materials and interfaces charge selective transport materials; extensive material and device processing and characterization; design of devices and analysis of their performance; and the understanding of the degradation mechanisms. The work will lead to significant additions to the knowledge base of materials and device science and to the dissemination of that work through publication in journals.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the processing of perovskite and colloidal nanocrystals materials and devices
- A PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, electrical engineering or related fields, with specific experience in semiconductor materials, device physics, and perovskites
- Experience with a variety of characterization techniques including photoluminescence, electroluminescence, transport measurements, analytical chemistry, TEM/SEM, XRD, JV, EQE, etc
- Experience in optical and electrical device modeling
- A strong publication record
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Must be a recent PhD graduate within the last three years.
A PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, electrical engineering or related fields, with specific experience in semiconductor materials, device physics, and perovskites
