The University of Notre Dame is actively seeking candidates for a senior-level faculty position in experimental and/or computational biophysics. With major funding from the William & Linda Stavropoulos Family Foundation, the University of Notre Dame is launching an interdisciplinary Center for Biophysics ( The Center will complement the university’s recent major strategic research investments to create and promote a highly collaborative environment for interdisciplinary research, including a recently-opened 200,000 square-foot molecular sciences research building.

The successful candidate should have a distinguished record of accomplishments at the interface of physics and biology, commensurate with appointment as an endowed chair. These include a strong, internationally recognized and extramurally funded research program and a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The position includes salary, start-up funding and laboratory space commensurate with level.
