Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Biochemistry
THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY & BIOCHEMISTRY AT BERRY COLLEGE, an ACS-approved program, invites applications for the position of tenure-track assistant professor of biochemistry to begin in August 2018. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in biochemistry, or a closely related field, with postdoctoral experience strongly preferred. The successful candidate will teach a variety of chemistry courses, including upper and lower level biochemistry courses and associated labs. The candidate will be expected to establish a strong research program involving undergraduate students. In addition to a commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship, the successful candidate should possess a strong interest in service and mentoring students in a residential college environment.
Located on more than 26,000 acres in northwest Georgia in a setting of great natural beauty, Berry College has an enrollment of about 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students. The college is located 65 miles northwest of Atlanta, Georgia, and 65 miles south of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
