Washington College, a private liberal arts and sciences college of 1,450 undergraduates, located in Chestertown, MD, is seeking applicants for a one-semester full-time visiting assistant professor position in chemistry starting in January of 2018.

Preference will be given to applicants who hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry and who can teach General Chemistry, but current degree candidates are encouraged to apply. A commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential.

Washington College offers a bachelor’s degree program in Chemistry and is accredited by the American Chemical Society. The teaching load for this position will consist of the following courses: one lecture of General Chemistry and four labs. These courses could change based upon final fall enrollments and other departmental needs to include the second semester of Organic Chemistry.

Washington College’s spring semester starts January 22, 2018.
