Instructor/Chemistry Lab Manager
Full-time, 9-month position with duties split as 50% Instructor, 50% Lab Manager.
Qualifications: AMS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. The preferred candidate will have teaching experience at the college level. Successful candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities: Teach introductory undergraduate courses (7-8 credits per semester) in Chemistry and possibly related areas such as Physics or Biology, depending on the expertise of the applicant and departmental needs. The applicant will also manage the chemistry labs, including ordering, preparing and maintaining all lab materials, overseeing student workers, monitoring stockroom and lab inventory, and other duties as necessary. Ability to maintain chemistry instrumentation a plus. The applicant will also be expected to participate in university service when applicable.
