Assistant/Associate Professor

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Hawaii at Manoa invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. Exceptional candidates with a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or closely related fields are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a robust research program in Biochemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Natural Products Biosynthesis, or areas at the interface with these fields. The successful candidate must also demonstrate an ability to contribute to the Biochemistry teaching mission of the department with emphasis on the chemical principles of those processes. We especially welcome and seek female faculty and those of Hawaiian and Asian-Pacific ethnicity.

Desirable qualifications include a strong publication record, a plan to obtain external research funding, a commitment to teaching excellence, and an ability to mentor both undergraduate and graduate student research.
