Assistant to Laboratory Director, Department of Chemistry
Hofstra University Department of Chemistry invites applications for an anticipated part-time stockroom staff position beginning January 29, 2018. Responsibilities of the position include running the Chemistry stockroom during lab classes scheduled outside of regular business hours. Typical duties include: preparing stock solutions and unknowns, distributing materials to labs, monitoring borrowing of equipment and safety glasses by students, supervising undergraduate stockroom staff, auditing SDS binders.

Successful applicants should have completed college-level instruction in chemistry, previous experience in a chemistry laboratory, and a thorough understanding of proper safety protocol in a chemistry laboratory.
