Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Drew University’s Department of Chemistry invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Chemistry to begin in August 2018, pending budgetary approval.  The successful candidate will teach courses and laboratories in biochemistry and priority will be given to candidates who also demonstrate expertise and interest in teaching physical or analytical chemistry. Applicants are also expected to develop an active undergraduate research program in protein biochemistry. In addition to offering ACS-approved majors in chemistry and biochemistry, the department also contributes to the interdisciplinary biochemistry and molecular biology major.  The department is well-equipped with a range of instrumentation available to students in both the teaching and research laboratory settings.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in chemistry or closely related field.  We seek candidates who have a commitment to excellent teaching using student-centered teaching practices and who will actively engage undergraduates in their research program.
