Centre College invites applications for a non-tenure track laboratory instructor to start in August 2018. Centre College has a strong tradition of excellence in the sciences; the chemistry program is ACS approved. The Chemistry program seeks a teacher who will enhance the learning and teaching environment at Centre College with their experience, ideas, and perspectives. Teaching responsibilities will include laboratory instruction for introductory courses. The laboratory instructor will coordinate all the instructors for General Chemistry I and II laboratories, as well as teaching 10 sections per year. The laboratory instructor will also provide training and support for the undergraduate laboratory teaching assistants. Additional opportunities to contribute to the non-science majors chemistry courses and first-year studies courses may be available. An M.A. or Ph.D. is required. The program encourages applications from candidates who have experience in teaching and mentoring a diverse student body.
