Assistant Professor of Chemistry

The Department of Physical & Biological Sciences at Western New England University seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Chemistry at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning in September 2018. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, a strong commitment to undergraduate education, and demonstrated teaching abilities. Responsibilities include teaching primarily laboratory and lecture sections of organic chemistry and general chemistry. Experience in teaching biochemistry labs is a plus.  In addition to submitting a cover letter, a current CV, a teaching statement, and a research statement, candidates must have three references send their letters of recommendation directly to the address below. Official transcripts of all course-work in higher education are required. (Unofficial transcripts are acceptable during the initial application.)  While primarily a teaching institution seeking candidates with a strong commitment to teaching, scholarly activity is required for tenure consideration. Screening of applications begins January 20, 2018, and continues until the position is filled.
