The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas Tech University invites applications for three non-tenure track positions at the Research Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level (depending on qualifications).   Candidates must have knowledge of biomolecular mass spectrometry and chromatographic and spectroscopic methodologies pertaining to the structural analysis of proteins and glycoconjugates or experience with organic and organometallic chemistry with a strong publication record .

Successful candidates will be expected to develop a nationally recognized and externally funded research program, develop departmental and multidisciplinary collaborations and perform internal and professional service at a level commensurate with rank. The successful candidate for this position will be part of a major initiative at Texas Tech University that was launched last year to expand and enhance current research capabilities of the institution. The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry is among the top academic units at TTU in terms of research funding, publications and graduate education. Texas Tech University is classified as a doctoral research-extensive university by the Carnegie Foundation; it has an enrollment of more than 35,000 students, and is one of the major, state-supported, multidisciplinary universities of the Southwest.

Employment contracts will be on an annual basis and contingent upon positive annual evaluations.
