The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Albright College, a dynamic liberal arts college in Reading, PA, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August of 2018, in a 7-person, ACS-approved department that offers B.S. degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, and chemistry education. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry by August 2018. Post-doctoral and/or prior teaching experience is desirable but not required. Preference will be given to candidates with additional experience in analytical chemistry. A strong commitment to undergraduate education, an active research agenda inclusive of undergraduate students, and service to the department and the College are expected. Teaching responsibilities include lecture and laboratory sections of biochemistry and/or instrumental analysis, and, in rotation with current faculty, lecture and laboratory sections of general analytical chemistry and/or non-majors courses. Opportunities also exist for teaching special topics and general studies courses.
