The Department of Chemistry and Physics at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor in Chemistry beginning August 1, 2018. Teaching and postdoctoral experience would be advantageous. Teaching responsibilities will include organic, advanced organic, a contribution to the general chemistry sequence, and other courses in the area of expertise. Additionally, the applicant will be expected to share the responsibilities in managing organic laboratory. The successful applicant will be expected to establish a productive undergraduate research program and will also be expected to share in the maintenance of research instrumentation including NMR and GC-MS. The chemistry program at UTC (Chattanooga, Tennessee) comprises eleven tenure-line faculty members and is approved by the American Chemical Society.
