Responsibilities include:
• Develop, manage and improve cheminformatics tools to enable sharing and analysis of data with external collaborators in support of our discovery pesticide pipeline
• Collaborate with the research informatics team to identify and implement strategies to enable the crop protection pipeline
• Structure and ligand based compound design and facilitation of virtual screening
• Cheminformatics techniques for molecular target selection, HTS analysis, and data visualization
• Structural bioinformatics to evaluate target class similarity and support target and lead hopping based design of compounds
• Prediction of compound physicochemical properties to aid in compound design and selection
• Support internal project team’s workflows and data analytics to enable hit to lead optimization
• Chemical tractability assessment techniques
• Some database maintenance and evaluation of novel computational capabilities 

Required Education and Skills/Experience:
• Minimum of PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Computational Chemistry or related field
• Minimum of three or more years of computational chemistry experience within a pharmaceutical, agrochemical or biotechnology setting in academia or industry
• Demonstrated impact in applying computational chemistry to drive the design and progression of small molecules as evidenced by publications and/or patent applications
• Strong understanding of structural activity relationships 
• Prior experience in experimental design and statistical methods
• Self-motivated, with demonstrated ability to independently define and execute strategic timelines, and develop and communicate recommendations 
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with excellent relationship, networking, and collaboration skills
• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, precise, and actionable manner

Desired Education and Skills/Experience:
• Prior experience working with cross-functional teams on small molecule design in early to late stage discovery
• Experience in plant systems 
• Passion for discovering new agrochemicals to facilitate crop production efforts worldwide
• Strong understanding of medicinal chemistry and/or pharmacokinetics
• Prior experience in R programming
