Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor appointment in the Department of Chemistry beginning in July 2018. Preference will be given to those with expertise in inorganic chemistry. Teaching responsibilities are a 3/2 teaching load over two semester and will include introductory labs, plus a seminar, advanced lab, or non-majors course. Visiting faculty have access to research facilities, and faculty development funds. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Education, teaching experience, and be committed to teaching excellence. The application should address, in the cover letter and in other documents, why teaching at Kenyon is a good fit for the candidate, and how they will promote a culturally and intellectually diverse and inclusive educational environment. A competitive application will cite specific examples of past accomplishments and prospective ideas.
