Assistant Professor Organic and General Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at Northern Michigan University invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Organic and General Chemistry. This is a campus-based, three-year term position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2018. The primary duties of this position will be to teach Organic Chemistry lecture and laboratory and lecture or discussion sections for first-year Chemistry courses. Other assignments are possible based on the expertise of the applicant. Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or closely related field. Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level expected.
The Department of Chemistry has twelve full-time faculty and offers undergraduate degrees in ACS-certified chemistry, biochemistry, forensic biochemistry, and medicinal plant chemistry.
