Where the Chemistry Happens…

 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a Ph.D. in a chemistry, physics, material science, or engineering discipline. The successful candidate will join BASF’s Formulation Research group located in Tarrytown, NY to develop novel proof-of-concept type formulations for industrial-related applications. This group is an integral part of BASF’s Advanced Materials and Systems Research.

 

Scientist III – Formulation Research (1704608) – Tarrytown, NY

 

Formula for Success: You Will…

 

Develop and optimize complex solid and liquid formulations for industrial applications. Use droplet creating technologies to fine-tune and optimize formulation performance. Work on highly-motivated project teams with defined targets and milestones. Collaborate with different BASF research groups and businesses on a global level. Play a key role in maintaining and supporting numerous collaborations with non-BASF partners, including universities and other organizations.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

 

  • Ph.D. in a chemistry, physics, materials science, or engineering discipline. Research experience with droplet microfluidics and fabricating microfluidic chips. Experience developing and optimizing complex solid and liquid formulations. Strong analytical skills interpreting data and results with ability to plan next steps based on results.Documenting results, writing reports, and communicating with presentations.
