The appointee will teach five courses—general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and an advanced course in their specialization—and have the opportunity to direct student research.

The incumbent will teach five classes over two semesters, in both lecture and laboratory settings. These courses will include general chemistry, a course for majors in the incumbent’s area of specialization, and a non-majors course or senior-level seminar. The incumbent may, as desired, supervise undergraduate students in research.

Among the qualifications required for appointment is the Ph.D degree (in hand or expected by first semester of academic year 2018-19). Candidates must demonstrate interest and potential excellence in undergraduate teaching. Successful teaching experience at the college level is desirable.

A complete application will be comprised of 1) a Cover Letter that includes an articulation of the applicant’s teaching philosophy; 2) a Curriculum Vitae; 3) Unofficial graduate and undergraduate transcripts; and, 4) Contact information from three (3) Professional References*
