Assistant Professor of Chemistry
Colgate University seeks to fill a tenure-track position in the Chemistry Department at the Assistant Professor level. A PhD is required. Duties will include contributing to the foundational and advanced curriculum in biochemistry, as well as introductory chemistry. The successful candidate will be expected to direct an active undergraduate research program in biochemistry or related interdisciplinary fields. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in university-wide programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. The Department offers strong BA programs in Chemistry and Biochemistry and has excellent facilities for research. New faculty members receive generous start-up support. Student participation in faculty research programs is strongly encouraged and supported; one year of research is required of all senior majors, and student stipends for summer research are available.
