Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry
The Florida Institute of Technology Chemistry Program invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (higher rank may be considered) in the area of Analytical Chemistry to begin Fall 2019. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry, with postdoctoral experience preferred.
The Chemistry (CHM) Program is one of 12 programs in the newly formed Biomedical & Chemical Engineering & Sciences (BCES) Department designed to provide research, educational synergies and collaborative opportunities for faculty in the Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biological Sciences and Chemical Engineering Programs. The CHM Program currently offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry, Research Chemistry, Biochemistry and Premedicine Chemistry.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses and the ability to develop a strong, externally funded research program. The candidate must also demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills. It is expected that the successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students, advice students at all levels, and establish a funded research program. Candidates for higher ranks should have a distinguished record of research and educational activities, as well as a strong funding history.
