The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the City College of New York (CCNY), the flagship campus of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in organic chemistry broadly defined, starting on August 27, 2019. We are seeking candidates who will develop a world-class, externally funded, organic chemistry research program. The candidate who fills this position will occupy laboratory space in the new state-of-the-art Center for Discovery and Innovation on the south campus of CCNY. This position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor; senior appointments will be considered for outstanding candidates with a track record of research productivity and external funding. The new faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses and to mentor students at the undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels. Additionally, the new faculty member will share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
    
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related discipline; significant postdoctoral experience preferred. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement.
