Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry, Tenure Track Position
The Department of the Chemistry and Physics at Hardin-Simmons University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry beginning August 2019.
Hardin-Simmons University is a historically Baptist small liberal arts college with a total enrollment of approximately 2,300 students. The Department of Chemistry and Physics offers bachelor degrees in Chemistry, and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
The successful candidate for this position will be expected to teach general chemistry, organic chemistry, and the associated laboratories. In addition, the candidate will be expected to conduct chemical research with undergraduate students.
- Ph.D. in organic chemistry or closely related field (ABD candidates will be considered)
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- Must be active in their Christian faith
