The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, invites applications and nominations for the position of Professor and Department Head, commencing Fall, 2010.
The Department Head will work with the administration and faculty to create and implement strategies for faculty recruitment and expansion of the graduate and undergraduate programs in Chemistry commensurate with the Rensselaer Plan.

Qualifications The successful candidate must bring an established reputation in research and teaching that complements the existing strengths and needs in the department. The successful applicant will also show evidence of administrative experience and leadership. An earned Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Biology or closely related field is required, and the successful candidate must be qualified for a tenured faculty position.
