Lecturer in Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Physics at The University of Tampa seeks outstanding candidates for an Instructional Staff appointment in chemistry. Although we prefer a January 2010 start date, the position will be filled to start no later than the Fall Semester, 2010.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach general chemistry and organic chemistry laboratories (usually 12 contact hours per semester), will coordinate and setup other laboratory sections, and will be expected to maintain instrumentation (NMR, IR, GCMS, etc.) in support of the chemistry laboratory experience.
A Master’s degree in chemistry is required with a Ph.D. in a field of chemistry preferred. Prior teaching and managerial experience will be given preference.
