Please visit our website at www.sandia.gov. We are searching for Post Docs in Nuclear/Nanoparticle Materials for the Surface and Interface Science Department at the Albuquerque facility. The salary is $80,000 per year. A benefit and relocation package is available. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
Engage various methods of inorganic nanoparticle synthesis, nuclear fuel surrogate alloys and oxides (e.g., depleted uranium), particle formation growth and stability studies. Closely interface and collaborate with other researchers both internal and external. Under mentor's guidance, the postdoctoral candidate must be independently conduct various research-related activities including nanoparticle formation, nanoparticle analytical methods including TEM and UV-Vis characterization, and organic surface modification of nanoparticles. State-of-the-art facilities are available for materials growth, fabrication and measurements.
