A postdoctoral position is available in the Institute for Interfacial Catalysis at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) to conduct fundamental studies of the surface chemical and photochemical reactions on thin film and single crystal titanium dioxide surfaces. These investigations will utilize a variety of surface science techniques, but primarily temperature programmed desorption and electron energy loss spectroscopies. Good oral and written communication skills are mandatory. Other duties will include publication of results in peer-reviewed journals, presentation of results at scientific meetings, and routine maintenance of ultrahigh vacuum equipment.
