Job Description |
 |
- Sample preparation following official methods and company/laboratory Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), including wet chemistry, extractions and quantitative measurements.
- Sample analysis following official methods and company/laboratory SOPs, including manual and instrumental analysis such as titration, bomb calorimetry, UV-Vis, FT-IR, ICP, AA, XRF, GC-MS and IC.
- May involve receiving and recording incoming samples, cutting, milling, and weighing samples. Must wash glassware when time permits.
- Develop, submit, and file reports on client sample tests, correlation tests, calibration, validation, proposal, and other projects.
- Routine operation, maintenance, calibration, qualification, and trouble-shooting of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Review, and validate analytical methods, company and laboratory SOPs, and other operating, safety, and quality documents.
- Internal technical support to customer service regarding test, report, and other technical information.
- Work closely with client service team to ensure prompt response to client inquiries regarding capabilities, tests, complaints, and market development.
- Manage and conduct multiple projects within tight deadlines.

Requirements |
 |
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related scientific disciplines with at least 5 years experience in analytical chemistry laboratories.
- Experience in leading/directing the work of others.
- Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Familiarity with Quality Management System and ISO 17025
- Familiarity with government, industry and other regulations, standards, and methodologies including, but limited to, RoHS, WEEE, ASTM, AOAC, AOCS, USP/NF, FCC, CFR, Proposition 65, CONEG, and BS-EN.
