Job Description
University of Maryland Eastern Shore

The Department of Natural Sciences invites resumes for a tenure track position beginning August, 2010. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in organic and general chemistry. Performs other related duties as assigned.

NOTES:
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Requirements
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry required with research interests in the discipline. The candidate should have expertise in Nuclear Magnetic, Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy, and Gas Chromotography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS). Demonstrated research experience, solid publication record and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching required. The candidate will be expected to establish an externally funded research program that includes participation of undergraduate and graduate students. Ability to get along with faculty, students, and staff required. Excellent communications skills required.
