Wilkes University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Bio-Physical Chemistry to begin August 2017.
The applicant will have a broad background in chemistry with expertise in experimental physical biochemistry. Ideal candidates will be capable of contributing to teaching both physical chemistry and biochemistry courses. The successful applicant may also be expected to teach introductory courses including General Chemistry and advanced undergraduate specialty courses in his/her area of expertise. A typical teaching load is twelve formula hours per semester.
A Ph.D. in physical or biochemistry or a closely related field is required. Candidates will be expected to develop an active research program involving undergraduates in experimental projects leading to presentation and publication. The ideal candidate will have post-doctoral research and / or prior teaching experience but candidates without this experience will be considered. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experiences.
