The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (http://www.umassmed.edu/bmp/) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Chemical Biology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek to recruit a dynamic individual who brings a strong chemical perspective to complex systems in biology and medicine. The recruit will join our robust Program in Chemical Biology (http://www.umassmed.edu/bmp/chemical-biology/), a leading center of research that includes more than twenty faculty spanning multiple departments. The position will be highly competitive with regard to start-up funds, laboratory space and salary.
Our department offers a vibrant and interactive research community with many opportunities for collaborations within the broader UMass Medical School research community. We are housed in a state-of-the-art building and facilities include x-ray, NMR, Cryo-EM, Mass Spectrometry/Proteomics, Small Molecule Screening, Single Molecule Fluorescence, DNA Sequencing, and High Performance Computing.
