Teaching Expectations: A person in this position is expected to teach courses focused specifically on Grades 7-12 STEM pedagogy, therefore experience in 7-12 teaching and/or prior experience working with pre-service teachers is preferred. This person may also teach courses in their particular disciplinary area or the university’s core curriculum. In addition, a commitment to inclusive excellence and experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds is preferred.
Research/Scholarship Expectations: Evidence of a commitment and clearly developed plan for future professional growth in science education scholarship is required. This position also includes the opportunity to develop and administer STEM-related grants and the potential to provide leadership in innovative science education initiatives at the university level. Experience with preparation and implementation of proposals for external funding is preferred.
