Position: Postdoctoral Research Associate—Plant Physiologist
Salary Range: $59,246.00 to $77,019.00 / Per Year

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Tree Fruit Research Laboratory in Wenatchee, Washington, is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate—Plant Physiologist.
The incumbent will be assigned to the Tree Fruit Metabolism program, located within the USDA-ARS Physiology and Pathology of Tree Fruits Research Unit, Wenatchee, WA. The incumbent will examine metabolism related to apple sunscald, a sun-related apple peel postharvest disorder, and superficial scald, a chilling stress provoked disorder, using untargeted metabolic profiling and other metabolite profiling GC and LC-MS based strategies. Specific research will focus on the impacts cold stress in combination other mitigating stresses, including light and fruit maturity that may culminate in peel discoloration or cell death during storage.
