An earned Doctorate in a discipline represented in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences or a closely related field. Documented experience working with large budgets, and faculty and staff, is required. Possess a combination of strong business credentials, skills, experience and understanding of state mandates and governance structure.

- Experience in formulation of efficient, effective processes
- Possess significant knowledge of and experience with budgets, accounting, and contracts and grants
3-5 years demonstrated successful experience in a federal Land Grant institution, involving significant responsibility for managing state-appropriated funds, federal capacity funds appropriated under Smith-Lever/1890 Extension, Evans-Allen/Hatch, McIntire-Stennis, and all other competitive federal funds. Experience working with other external funds including advancement accounts, contracts and grants, gift accounts and endowments.
