The Department of Chemistry at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UTK, www.chem.utk.edu) invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the area of Synthetic Organic or Polymer Chemistry, broadly defined, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2017. The position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and requires a Ph.D. degree in chemistry, or a closely related field, and at least one year of post-doctoral research experience. Successful candidates are expected to develop an internationally recognized, externally funded research program and contribute to departmental teaching and service at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Knoxville campus of the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.
