The Department of Chemistry at Hendrix College (www.hendrix.edu/chemistry) invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Chemistry to begin in August 2017. The successful candidate will teach Organic Chemistry and contribute to introductory courses for majors and non-majors. The College seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college. Start-up funding and research space will be provided to support a sustainable research program with undergraduates. The successful candidate will have a 3/3 teaching assignment with 25% reassigned for undergraduate research. Doctorate at the time of appointment is required, and postdoctoral experience is preferred.
