The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seeking an outstanding individual with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting in August 2017. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a highly related discipline. Relevant post-doctoral experience and a demonstrated history of research success via publications, grants, and presentations are required. Research will include working with undergraduates or students in our M.Sc. program. Priority will be given to research programs that utilize current facilities and equipment. The full teaching load is approximately 15 contact hours per academic year and may include upper division lecture and laboratory courses in Biochemistry. Statement of research plans (maximum 4 pages) should include description of work and a discussion of the role of students in research and the feasibility of student research projects. Development plan (maximum 2 pages) should discuss of publication and funding strategies and goals, a plan for building your research lab and group at UCCS, and a list of major equipment needs.
