*PhD in chemistry or a closely related discipline
*Postdoctoral and/or faculty/industry experience
*Research program in analytical chemistry or at the analytical/physical interface.
*Experience/training in the areas of analytical chemistry
*Ability to develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program involving graduate and undergraduate students
*Excellent track record of publishing in top scientific journals
*Ability to teach effectively in undergraduate and graduate courses, including upper division analytical chemistry courses and lower division general chemistry courses.
*Excellent spoken and written communication skills
*Research area at the interface of analytical and physical chemistry.
*Research in the general area of environmental chemistry, especially in water environments.
*Research that is complementary to departmental research focus areas.
*Evidence of successful grantsmanship.
