ASSISTANT PROFESSOR–ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry in the College of Science and Health at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse http://www.uwlax.edu/Chemistry-and-Biochemistry/ seeks a dynamic teacher-scholar to join its growing chemistry major program as a tenure-track faculty member on August 28, 2017. Our new colleague will teach organic and general chemistry lecture and lab courses and other advanced courses in the curriculum, develop and maintain a research program involving undergraduates, and be actively engaged in department, university, professional, and public service.
Our department houses state of the art equipment and facilities, and we have already broken ground for the construction of a new laboratory sciences building on campus. Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry or closely related discipline, demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship at the undergraduate level are required. Preference will be given to candidates with postdoctoral research experience and whose expertise complements that of the existing faculty.
