Dept. of Chemistry, Kansas State University

The Chemistry Department at Kansas State University is recognized as one of the University's leaders in research and teaching. The department is populated by 22 tenure track and teaching faculty, about 65 graduate students and postdocs and many undergraduate researchers. Our research projects span a broad range of topics in the areas of medicinal chemistry, materials science and biological chemistry. These projects are well funded by federal, state and university agencies, by private foundations and industry. Our teaching and research programs are facilitated by glass, machine and electronics shops, all of which are staffed by professional technicians, a chemical storeroom and an instrument lab staffed by an instrument specialist.
