About Fort Lewis CollegeFort Lewis College (FLC) is a state-supported liberal arts college with its own governing board and is a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC). The Chemistry Department has laboratories and a lecture hall in a modern new facility and is housed within the School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences. Total enrollment at the College is about 4,000 students with 40% multicultural population. FLC is well known regionally for its outdoor recreation opportunities, premier field schools in archaeology and geology, and its research based chemistry program.
