Utah State University

Utah State University is a Land-Grant Institution with the main campus located in Logan, Utah. The Uintah Basin Campus is located in Roosevelt and Vernal in eastern Utah. The campus has 25 full-time faculty, 26 staff and approximately 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students. This past academic year, 140 associate, 61 baccalaureate, and 10 graduate students were awarded degrees. The program represents 15 departments and 8 graduate programs. The branch campus is located in a rural setting known for its beauty and recreational opportunities. To the north is the Uinta Mountain range with its green forests, glacial lakes, and rugged canyons. The area is within minutes of the world-famous Green River and Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area and just 4 hours from Salt Lake City, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, boating, fishing, hunting camping, golfing, and many other recreational opportunities are conveniently located. The area is known for its geology and paleontology and is home to the world famous Dinosaur National Monument and Quarry. The communities display excellent diversity with good schools and shopping and a variety of music, theater, and other cultural programs
