Texas State University

Texas State University is located in the Austin-San Antonio corridor at the edge of the hill country. With more than 38,000 students, the university is the largest campus in The Texas State University System and among the largest in the state. The school has a diverse student body and is recognized as the largest Hispanic Serving Institution in the state of Texas. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, which offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry, currently has 32 faculty members and over 400 undergraduate majors who are strongly encouraged to participate in research. The department is also associated with the Material Science, Engineering, and Commercialization doctoral program in the College of Science and Engineering.
