The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry currently has nine full-time tenure-track faculty members, a teaching laboratory coordinator and an
administrative assistant. The department offers two B.S. degree tracks, one in
chemistry and one in biochemistry. It also offers a B.A. degree in chemistry that
is often coupled with study in education or business. Recent graduates have gone on to enroll at prestigious research and medical programs including MIT, California-Bekeley, Cal Tech, Wisconsin-Madison, Columbia, Northwestern, Princeton and Yale. Some of these alums have completed NIH post-bac programs and currently three alums hold prestigious NSF graduate fellowships.
