The Marywood University Department of Science seeks an Assistant Professor (Biochemistry) for a tenure track position beginning August 2017. Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field, evidence of relevant research, scholarship, and teaching experience are required. Applicants should be able to present evidence of experience and/or preparation in teaching a wide range of biochemical topics. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching both science majors and non-science majors, such as nutrition & dietetics or other health professions. Applicants with background in environmental studies are also encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate lecture and lab courses; advising, research and scholarly publication; service to the University, community, and department; and grantsmanship. Teaching responsibilities include Biochemistry I and II for Science majors, Biochemistry for Nutrition & Dietetics majors, and general Chemistry courses for non-majors. Initial review begins March 8.
