Research Fellow in Nanomedicine at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine

The Laboratory of Nanomedicine and Tissue Engineering at Nanyang Technological University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, headed by Nanyang Assistant Professor Juliana Chan, is seeking two research fellows to conduct translational and multi-disciplinary research on nanotechnology-based therapies for applications in cancer and skin disease.

The research will focus on the design of novel targeted nanoparticle platforms for drug delivery with applications in cancer and skin disease, and candidates should have experience working on polymeric nanoparticles or liposomes for drug delivery.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biology, materials science, chemical engineering, biological engineering, biomedical sciences, nano-engineering or related fields. Previous publications in international peer reviewed journals are a prerequisite. They must possess excellent organization skills and be capable of individual initiative and of interacting as part of a team. 

Successful candidates will have knowledge and experience in at least a few of the following areas: 

· Polymeric nanoparticle or liposome design and characterization; 

· Cancer or skin disease models (in vitro and in vivo);

· Molecular biology techniques such as qPCR , RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry; and

· Experience with tumor mouse models and mouse handling is a plus.
