While applications in all areas of chemistry will be considered, individuals in biochemistry-related fields are especially encouraged to apply. Qualified applicants will have a PhD and postdoctoral or equivalent experience. Candidates committed to working with underrepresented minorities in STEM disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply.

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of research goals, space/equipment needs, and a statement of teaching philosophy (with all documents in PDF form) to Faculty Search Committee, chemistrysearch@howard.edu, and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent to the same address.  Application review will begin immediately.

All offers of employment are contingent upon a satisfactory outcome of the University’s verification of credentials and other information required by law and University policies, including the completion of reference and criminal history check.  Additionally, all new hires are required to be appointed by the Department of Recruitment, and attend New Hire Orientation.
