The Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA invites applications for a non-tenure-track Lecturer position during the 2017-2018 academic year. The primary responsibilities may include direction, oversight and/or instruction of laboratory and lecture courses of general and/or organic chemistry.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience with full-time salary with full-time benefits. The term of this appointment will be for one academic year with the possibility of renewal.
A Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field is required by appointment start date. Demonstrated teaching experience and a commitment to teaching excellence is required. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience working with and/or managing graduate or undergraduate teaching assistants.
