The Department of Chemistry at Northern Michigan University invites applications for an Instructor in Organic and General Chemistry. This is a campus-based, three-year term position at the rank of Instructor to begin in August 2017. The primary duties of this position will be to teach Organic Chemistry laboratory and discussion sections for first-year Chemistry courses. Other assignments are possible based on the expertise of the applicant. The ideal applicant must have an earned Masters of Science in Organic Chemistry or closely related field. Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level expected.
The Department of Chemistry has twelve full-time faculty and offers undergraduate degrees in ACS-certified chemistry, biochemistry, forensic biochemistry, and medicinal plant chemistry.
