Regional Sales Manager

The ideal candidate lives in the Cleveland, Akron or Columbus area and has sales experience in thermal analysis instrumentation. This position will be responsible for selling instrument solutions to Industrial, Government, and Academic Research & Development Laboratories; as well as Industrial Quality Control Laboratories.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

•Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals within the assigned territory.
•Meet or exceed the territory sales and other targets.
•Visits customer sites on a regular basis to give sales presentations and perform instrument and software demonstrations.
•Aggressively pursue new business prospects and penetrate competitive accounts.
•Maintain a CRM database with up to date customer and sales lead information to facilitate the distribution of marketing materials and tracking of sales opportunities.
•Representing company at technical trade-shows, conference and other marketing related activities.

Qualifications for the position include:

Experience in laboratory instrument capital equipment sales; thermal analysis, material science, or polymers, required.
•A 4-year degree in a technical or science related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak and write fluently in English.
•Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations in order to sell Company products and services.
•Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and experience with Customer Resources Management software is desirable.
•Ability to organize and prioritize work activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
•Valid driving license and be available to travel by car and plane within defined territory
